Dance Repertory Project (DRP) is a ballet-based pre-professional company that embraces both ballet and contemporary works. Created in 2008 by Lisa Fusillo as an experimental project, DRP became a company in 2018. DRP is part of the Department of Dance at the University and is building a rich and diverse repertoire with works by Fusillo and guest artists. The legacy and mission of DRP promotes interactions with professional choreographers and dance companies to provide workshops, classes, and/or commissioned choreographic works for the dance department and the company. Past guest artists include Karen Charles of THREADS Dance Project in Minneapolis, Alonzo King of LINES Ballet (master class and choreography workshop) in San Francisco, and Louis Piedra of the Danza Universitaria Dance Company of Costa Rica.
