Performance: About Navigating Machines

Choreographer & Performer: Cecilia Durán
Company: D I R E
Camera and Editing: Manu Tovar, Bacanal Casa Productora
Music: Tonancin – Ajeet Kaur (excerpt). Tonancin song is a native Mexican song that goes back to prehispanic Aztec culture. Ajeet Kaur´s is one of the many versions this religious chant has come to live in sound through time.

Artist’s Statement: 15 min modern dance solo which invites the audience to navigate, alongside the performer, a bulb, and a drawer, diverse imaginary spaces drawing in the soloist mind.

Always, in loving memory of Juan Leonardo Sebastián Durán Partida.
