It is the responsibility of the participants at the 2015 WDA-Americas Conference & Festival Assembly to arrange and pay for their travel to and from Hawaii. The closes international airport to the University of Hawaii at Manoa is the Honolulu International Airport (http://hawaii.gov/hnl).

It is the responsibility of the participants at the 2015 WDA-Americas Conference & Festival Assembly to locate, reserve, and purchase lodging if they are visiting Hawaii. Please note that the July is considered “prime time” for lodging establishments and rates may be in the upper annual range. Making arrangements and reserving your accommodations early will guarantee your rate when you arrive! Please make sure to take your time investigating your options.
There are many hotel options available close to the campus on the waterfront. You can view a Google search of potential housing options and close to the campus and estimated costs for the dates of the Assembly by Clicking Here.
Limited housing options will available on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. Availability of all housing arrangements on campus will on a first come-first serve basis. There are many discounted rates and types of housing possibilities on the campus.
FREAR HALL ACCOMMODATION
Rooms have been reserved in Frear Hall for conference registrants through the university’s conference center. It is about a 5 minute walk to the main area where the Assembly will be held. You may contact the conference housing center by visiting their website at manoa.hawaii.edu/housing/conference. Their email is firstname.lastname@example.org, and fax number is 808-956-5995. You must identify yourself as a member of World Dance Alliance. Children are accepted into Frear Hall as long as they are supervised at all times.
Rooms reserved for us in Frear Hall are as follows:
Frear Hall double units (2 rooms, each with 1 bed). Shared bathroom in unit. Total cost for the double unit is $109 per night. 20 units are reserved. You must provide the name of your roommate.
Frear Hall single units (1 room with 1 bed). Private bathroom. Cost is $63 per night. 20 units are reserved.
These rooms are available on a first come basis by submitting the downloadable Summer Application form to the conference housing center.
Other room configurations may be available in Frear Hall or Hale Aloha, please view the website and contact the conference housing center for other possible room arrrangements.
All the above accommodations require a meal plan. Choices start at $7.96 for breakfast only per day to $23.64 for breakfast, lunch, and dinner per day.
Check-in 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm, check-out 9:00 pm – 12:00 pm. Once your reservation is confirmed you may pay by credit card, personal check (US bank), or International Postal Money Order.
EAST WEST CENTER – HALE MANOA
A limited number of rooms will be available in the East West Center, very close to the Assembly location. This is completely separate from the university housing centre and can only be booked by contacting Mary Jane Warner at email@example.com by May 15. Rooms will be available on a first come-first serve basis; therefore, those with mobility issues should reserve immediately to ensure room availability in this location. Please note children are not accepted at the East West Center.
EWC Hale Manoa. 30 single rooms are available for $32 per night. (Dorm rooms with shared bathroom facilities; telephone, WiFi; bedding and linen provided; room cleaning services, towels and soap not provided; towel packets available at front desk for nominal cost).
A meal plan is not required at the East West Center; however, you may add meals if your wish.
To reserve a room in Hale Manoa you must provide Mary Jane Warner with the following information
Check-in is 2:00 pm, check-out is 10:00 am, however, the residence is open 24 hours.
Payment is due upon check-in (MasterCard, Visa, Traveller’s checks ,and personal checks (drawn off a US bank) made payable to the East-West Center for the exact amount only.

It is the responsibility of the participants to coordinate their own travel between their lodging and the campus, or around the island.

Public Transit is available but limited in the Hawaii area, so please be attentive to this when looking for lodging and determining travel times. You can review the public transit system on Honolulu by visiting http://www.thebus.org/
