Jul Kostelancik

Jul Kostelancik is a choreographer, performer, researcher, adventurer, and innovator rooted in Seattle, WA. Her work challenges a conversation of abstraction by investigating the relationship(s) between time, design, and human perception; thus exploring the depths of how we, as humans, evolve. Jul graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Modern Dance from Texas Christian University. While at TCU, she performed works choreographed by Carrie Hanson, Robert Battle, Christian von Howard, and Susan Douglas Roberts, among others. Jul’s artistry was recognized by numerous grants and scholarships including the prestigious TCU Nordan Fine Arts Award and the TCU Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Immediately following graduation, Jul became a company member of Lingo Productions. Jul has partnered with Trigger New Happenings and Velocity Dance Center to present her choreography work around Seattle. Jul has presented work at numerous festivals in the US. Jul continues to develop ideas, conceptualize movement, and generate research as a freelance performer and choreographer.
